What's Happening

Please note that the library will have a delayed opening on Friday, January 30th due to a staff meeting. The library will open at 10:30 AM. We appreciate your patience. The early Friday morning programs will also have a delay start.
Join us this fall for an 8-week knitting class perfect for beginners and those needing a refresher, starting on February 3rd. You'll learn essential stitches, how to read patterns, and complete a project. Please bring size 5, 6, or 7 straight needles (aluminum or bamboo) and a light-colored mid-weight yarn to the first class. Please register for the class. If you sign up for the eight-week course and find that you are unable to attend several times, we kindly ask that you notify the library. This will allow us to offer your spot to another patron who may be waiting for an opening.
Join us in the Ham Room on the 1st Monday of each month, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The Knitting Group is a welcoming community for all knitters, creating a space for those looking to connect with new knitting friends. It's an environment where knitters of all levels can enhance their skills and explore endless creative possibilities.

Friends of the Conway Public Library Program Series

Evening Programs from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Here's an exciting lineup of events to mark on your calendar for 2026!

The Friends of the Library are thrilled to present several standout events this year.

One of the highlights is an 8-week knitting course that you can register for. If you sign up for any events and find that you are unable to attend, we kindly ask you to notify the library. This will allow us to offer your spot to another patron who may be waiting for an opening.

One notable event is "What a Glorious Crash They Made," which will feature period-appropriate attire and music from the American Revolution. Join us as we celebrate our 250 years of history with a large turnout!

In addition, there will be programs focused on genealogy and cemetery sleuthing, along with nature programs that include opportunities to meet real animals. To top it all off, we will have well-known outdoor adventure experts, such as Ty Gagne and Michael Wejchert, joining us for an amazing series of programs.

This year promises to be wonderful, so please make time in your schedule to attend. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
