What's Happening

The Poetry Group will meet every 1st Thursday of the month from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the Periodical Room. The Writer/Poetry Group, where fellow lovers of poetry are encouraged to come write and read their own poetry or recite poems from their favorite authors. The poetry group will start off with a mini-workshop for about 15 to 20 minutes followed up by short 5 minute readings. Short stories are also welcome given they can be completed within the time allowance.
On March 11th at 6:00 pm come meet Noggin, the sled dog and her human, Karen Land in the Periodical Room. Learn all about what is needed to participate in the 1,049 Iditarod Dog Sled Race across Alaska from a 3rd-time participant Musher Karen Land. She will bring her Iditarod's dog sled, mushing gear, Arctic clothing, and of course her beloved dogs! This program is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the Library. This program is start of the Friends of the CPL program series.
