Tribute & Memorial Gifts
Honor a loved one by giving a tribute or memorial gift. This thoughtful way to show your love and admiration adds value to the Library’s collection and will be shared with the community for years to come. With your gift, the Library selects a book or audiovisual material for its collection in the name of your friend or loved one. Although we cannot guarantee the purchase of a specific title, every effort will be made to purchase something in the subject area and/or format requested.
When you make a tribute or memorial donation, the donor receives a thank you, the honoree receives an acknowledgement, and a book plate is placed inside the item recognizing the person. All donations are tax deductible. For more information, please see contact the Library Director.
Giving Books, Movies, or Music
Donate your books to Conway Public Library! Bring us your new or gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, music CDs, and jigsaw puzzles. Unfortunately, there are certain donations we cannot accept. Please see our Item Donation Guidelines for detailed information.
Donated materials may be added to the Library’s collection if they meet the Library’s collection development standards. When a donation is not added to the Library’s collection, the Friends of the Library may place the item for sale. The Friends generously fund new materials and other projects from the proceeds of their book sales!
Although we cannot legally place a dollar value on material donations, they are tax deductible. Be sure to ask us for a receipt noting the number of items donated in order to claim this form of donation as a tax deduction.
Some of your donated items are placed in the Little Free Library, to “take a book, return a book”. The first Little Free Library was placed at Conway Lake, and the second Little Free Library is on the porch at Leavitt’s Bakery in Conway, NH.
