The Wonderful World of Bats!

This program brings students into the exotic world of bats,
and introduces them to echolocation. What is it? Why do bats echolocate? Why can’t we hear
them? Are bats blind? We’ll answer these questions and more.
Audiences will learn how vital bats are for maintaining a healthy environment (did you know
that a Little Brown Bat eats up to 1000 mosquitoes in one night?). Via interactive dialogue and
slides, children move beyond old stereotypes, to an understanding of the importance of bats for

Let's explore stories and ghost tales, then connect them back to real local history. All ages are welcome. FREE, and brought to you by the Student Conservation Association in partnership with New Hampshire Parks and Recreation.

Fall Ball

Hear ye! Hear ye! Dress up in your finest to celebrate the fall equinox and accept Prince Charming's invitation to his palace. Enjoy music, dancing, a special story telling guest, and fine (kid-friendly) foods. 

Race to Space

Nike Outlet in North Conway (Settler's Green), the Conway Public Library, and Norther Human Services presents an active morning with plenty of fun! Children ages 0-10 are invited to race through a specially designed obstacle course, and stomp a rocket into the air at the end! Refreshments will be served. FREE!
