Cybersecurity Awareness for New Hampshire Residents 

Presented by The ATOM Group Municipal Cyber Defense Program 

This training session is designed to help the public better understand today’s cyber threats, including scams, fraud, and other cybercrimes targeting New Hampshire residents. Participants will learn how to recognize warning signs, avoid common pitfalls, and respond effectively to digital threats, building confidence and safety in everyday online activity. 

The Municipal Cyber Defense Program (MCDP), led by The ATOM Group in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the New Hampshire Department of Information Technology, is a grant-funded initiative focused on strengthening cybersecurity across the state’s municipalities. The program works to enhance local cyber defense capabilities and build a more secure, resilient digital infrastructure for New Hampshire communities.

Speaker Bio:

  Ken Weeks 

Ken Weeks has 30+ years of experience in the National Security and Cyber Operations space. Prior to his position as National Security Advisor at The Atom Group, Ken was the CISO for the State of New Hampshire. He spent his formative years as a Naval Officer, Special Duty, Cryptology and Information Warfare, and retired as a CAPT (O6). After the Navy, he worked as an Executive in Cyber Operations at the National Security Agency (NSA) and as the Operations Officer for the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF). Over the years, both Hawaii Pacific University and the National War College tried to educate the “knuckle-dragger” out of him with a Master of Arts in Organizational Change and a Master of Science degree in National Security Strategy, respectively. It partially worked.
