All are invited to an evening with the author of The History of Sound, Ben Shattuck, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Majestic Theatre in Conway Village.

The in-person event will be free and open to the public. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided. This event will also be live-streamed. 

Guided by the captivating voice of retired Supervisor Tim Caverly, audiences will embark on a virtual canoeing adventure along the picturesque 92-mile stretch of the Allagash River. As they navigate its tranquil waters, they will be immersed in the enchanting lore and timeless legends of Maine's breathtaking wilderness, where every bend in the river tells a story and the whispers of nature echo with history.
