Winter: Learn to Knit: Snow Days

WINTER: LEARN TO KNIT

Open Registration will be in January
(please check your spam folder for confirmation)
- Classes limited to 8 people

Whether you have never picked up needles before or would like to become a more confident knitter, this class is for you! New knitters will learn basic stitches, how to read a pattern, and how to choose yarn, and will then complete a pair of mittens. Just need a refresher, or help getting through a difficult part of a pattern? Bring whatever you're working on, and we'll tackle it together.

Build skills such as working with charts and multiple colors at once. Make the leap from simple to more complex projects like sweaters, hats, and Christmas stockings. Beginning students should bring one pair of size 5, 6, or 7 needles (bamboo is best for new knitters, though metal is fine too) and one ball of midweight (worsted weight) yarn in a light color to the first class.

If you sign up for the eight week course, and find that you are unable to attend, we kindly ask you to notify the library. This will allow us to offer your spot to another patron who may be waiting for an opening.
