The library is a welcoming and inclusive place. Being in drag is an artistic and creative expression of oneself, and is not limited to gender or orientation. By crafting programs that create a joyful and engaging environment for everyone, we want to show our community that we welcome all people, from all backgrounds, and difference is not something to be feared.
By increasing the visibility of materials and services for everyone in our community, we are establishing the library as a welcoming and inclusive center with free access to all ideas, without censorship or discrimination. By providing library users with the freedom to explore an array of viewpoints, we help them develop them into thoughtful citizens.
