Meet & Greet Local Author: New Hampshire War Monuments

In honor of Remembrance Week, this Saturday morning, a local author will be giving a presentation of the surrounding New England War Monuments and Landmarks. There will be some personal and historical stories surrounding some of the monuments. As she shows bits of her new non-fiction book, she will explore why our Granite state continues to honor people's sacrifices, memorializing their stories in statues, bridges, buildings and highways.

Kathleen Bailey will have her recent non-fiction book, NH War Monuments and Landmarks: The Stories Behind the Stone available to buy after the presentation. There will be a table set up to buy the author's book where she can sign your copy. The event is FREE. To get a copy of her book, the cost is $23.99. Katherine is accepting only cash at the library event. To help and support our local author White Birch Books, North Conway's local bookstore, will have copies of her book available to purchase.

About the Authors:

Kathleen Bailey is a journalist and novelist with forty years' experience in the nonfiction, newspaper and inspirational fields. While she's always dreamed of publishing fiction and has three novels in print, her two Arcadia projects, Past and Present Exeter and War Monuments, made her fall in love with nonfiction and telling real people's stories.

Shelia Bailey is a freelance photographer living in Concord, New Hampshire. She enjoys traveling around her state and New England looking for the perfect shot. She recently coauthored Past and Present Exeter, along with shooting the contemporary photos for New Hampshire War Monuments.
