Author and researcher Michael C. McLaughlin, Associate Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and PhD Candidate at the University of Plymouth, UK, will provide an intimate, behind-the-scenes look into the history and making of his new book, Plymouth Blitz: The Bombing of Portland Square & the Devastation of a City. Despite being one of WWII England’s most devastating civilian incidents, key human elements of this tragedy remained scattered and untold—until now. In this virtual workshop, trace the author's research journey, discover the diverse primary sources used to reconstruct this forgotten event, and hear compelling excerpts from the book. Explore how piecing together archival fragments, eyewitness accounts, and hidden records can rescue long-buried personal stories from the ashes of history.

RECORDING NOTE: This program will be recorded. All registrants will receive the recording via email within 48 hours of the program.
