Join the Conway Historical Society and New Hampshire Humanities for "Rebels & Redcoats: NH & the American Revolution" on July 14th at 6:30 PM. New Hampshire's role in the American Revolution is often overlooked, yet it has a rich history. Did you know Paul Revere's first ride was to Portsmouth in December 1774 to warn patriots about British reinforcements? Additionally, two-thirds of the troops at Bunker Hill were from New Hampshire, and the state adopted the first constitution in January 1776, declaring independence from Britain months before others.
