January & February: AARP is here in NH! Get the scoop about the programs and activities we offer: fun social events, local discounts, advocacy efforts, learning opportunities, and staying connected -- in person and virtually.
March: Be Red Cross Ready: Emergency Preparedness Essentials: AARP has partnered with the American Red Cross because disasters have a disproportionate impact on older adults. Following simple steps in advance can help you weather a crisis safely and comfortably. While being prepared may not prevent a disaster, it will give you confidence to meet the challenge.
May: HomeFit Do you want to remain in your home as you age? Learn what smart and cost-effective solutions and modifications may be needed to ensure you can stay safely and happily in the home you love as long as you choose.
June: Six Pillars of Brain Health: It's never to late to focus on your brain health! In this interactive session you'll learn about the six pillars of brain health and tips for activities that support brain health. This session will provide you with information on the latest research on brain health, lifestyle suggestions, and resources to learn more.
July, August, and September - No AARP courses for the summer months.
October: We Need to Talk: This AARP Driver Safety program can help you plan sensitive, successful conversations concerning an elder's safe driving... and then, if necessary, for steps to be taken for them to limit or retire from driving. Surveys show that more than half of older drivers whose families asked them to retire from driving followed these suggestions.
November: Fraud Watch Basics: The Scam Landscape: Ever been approached with a fraudulent offer or been a victim of identity theft? The AARP Fraud Watch Network empowers you in the fight with proven resources and tools to help you spot and avoid identity theft and fraud. With a few practical steps, you'll have the tools to protect yourself and your family.
December: Your Identity: Staying Connected and Protected: Millions of consumers are victims of identity fraud and identity theft every year. Since we spend time shopping online and cruising the web, we need to be more vigilant than ever of serurity breaches. In a few simple steps, we'll show you how!
