SnowDay: Walk the Pathway: Haikus & Poetry

“Keep an open mind

It’s the way to learn the truth

Which can then shine through.”

“To think is to know

How to find the truths of life

Pathway to the mind.”

“Think deep and read all

Your library supports you

 In thought and reason.”

"To think it to know: how to find the truths of life. Pathway to the mind."

Quoted from musician & poet Wayne Peabody.

In his presentation, Wayne will read and discuss several of his haikus and poems which were written as a result of the thoughts and observations made throughout his life.

Since most of his journeys were woven through the thread of his musical career, Wayne will play several of his instruments which intertwine the theme of his book. He will play his classical guitar, acoustic steel string guitar, the native American flute, 5 string and Celtic banjos, along with his fiddle. With his blend of music and haikus the listener will have the pleasure to listen, think and ponder on the meaning of Wayne’s written observations. By opening the mind, the listener has the freedom to make his own decisions and choices as to what it all means.

The opportunity and ability to think is an individual privilege and right that must not be lost. Wayne’s book and presentation bring out the importance of this process in the theme of nature, truth and knowledge.
