Join us for an evening of storytelling and connection as we delve into the vibrant tapestry of family and local community history in New Hampshire. You are invited to share, listen, and connect through short stories and anecdotes. Whether your family has been in New Hampshire for several generations, or you are new to the area, Roots offers a space for discovery, empathy, and interconnectedness. Each participant is encouraged to bring a short story to share during the circle portion of the event. There is no pressure for stories to be shared in a particular way or a certain length. Any story celebrating family, neighbors, local history, or joy is welcome!
Participants are also encouraged to bring a physical representation or symbol of their story, such as a photograph, map, sign, etc. that can be shared with other participants. After participants have the opportunity to share and hear one another’s stories, they will be asked to display their item and a short note about its significance to form a visual gallery. We hope that by sharing stories and displaying a visual gallery of our vibrant tapestry we can honor and learn from one another, and ultimately strengthen the interconnected root system that bonds us all.
