A Geologist Looks at Art

In “A Geologist Looks at Art” Dean Malouta will touch on a subset of those technologies that are based on materials from the earth.  We’ll take a look at the origins of pigments, stones for sculpture, ceramics, metals, and jewels. Dean is now in the process of researching a book on the myriad technological advances which have been an integral part of the creation of art over the ages.
