Natural Communities of New Hampshire
New Hampshire has a mosaic of natural communities that make it a wonderful place to live in or to visit and enjoy its beauty. Natural communities are recurring assemblies of plant and animals found in a distinct physical environment. The dynamic factors that make it possible for plants to grow where they do will be described. The talk will cover several natural communities, and their biodiversity and importance to our unique New Hampshire environment. The steps that gardeners can take to encourage the biodiversity will be covered.
