From battle scenes to formal portraits, artists play a major role in defining the early history of the republic. Artists like Copley and Stuart played a major role inshaping popular erspectives on leaders and the nature of leadership in a democracy.
All youth in grades 6-8 are invited to join this group with new book selections each month. Snacks, games, and an occasional book-related movie are some of the fun to be had. Group leader is 12-year-old, Zoe Groves, with the guidance of a youth librarian.

Join Aaron Risi as we celebrate his children's book, A Moose with a Uke! Aaron will tell the story as he plays his ukulele, followed by leading a drawing lesson, where kids can learn how to draw their own "Monty the Moose". Book purchase and signing available. All are welcome. Free!
Cartoonist Mike Lynch will run a 12 week course on how to create graphic novels for students from Kennett Middle School. Funded in part by a grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts, Minuteman Press and the Friends of the Conway Public Library.
