Animal Sounds with Squam Lakes Natural Science Center

Animal Sounds
Animals make sounds for a variety of reasons – to attract a mate, to defend their territory, to capture prey, or even to escape predators. Join a Squam Lakes Natural Science Center naturalist and three live animals native to New Hampshire to hear their sounds and discover the reasons behind them.

This program occurs during a teacher workshop day. Caregivers and children are encouraged to attend!

Kim John Payne, "Social Inclusion and the New Rite of Passage"

The social inclusion approach is a way of combating the problem of isolation that is, sadly, a growing part of the experience of most children today. Developed over 24 years with children from almost every continent, this approach gives practical playground, classroom and home based tools to work with social exclusion issues. This community lecture is designed for parents, educators and anyone who works with children.
Suggested $20 per person donation.
