Conway, NH – December 14th, 2021 -- The Conway Public Library and the Gibson Center for Senior Services have received a grant from the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the amount of $15,000. These funds will be used to expand the capacity of our underserved citizens to access, understand online health information and participate in clinical research programs to accelerate health research and medical breakthroughs. This project will provide computers and training to senior citizens, offer public programming on accessing reliable health information online, and supply a privacy pod to help facilitate telehealth visits. Between January and March 2022, there will be a 4-part speaker series on the topics of understanding clinical research, evaluating online health information resources, accessing telehealth services, and participating in clinical research.
