Would You Like to Help Us?
Volunteers are an important part of the Conway Public Library team!
Volunteers perform a variety of tasks and projects while helping us to improve our services to the community. Days and times are usually flexible. Some people volunteer weekly, while others volunteer occasionally for specific projects.
The Conway Public Library is proud to cooperate with the following organizations when coordinating our volunteer efforts: Carroll County RSVP and the Able Network (Senior Community Service Employment Program). The Library also works with those referred to us through Tri-County CAP, Inc. on a case by case basis.
Internship opportunities also are available in our Henney History Room.
Some examples of current volunteer projects:
Assisting with library programs and exhibits
Checking the shelves for missing or out of place books
Copying & folding library brochures
Henney History Room (there are various projects and opportunities available. Please see our Henney History Room Interns & Volunteers page)
Mending damaged books
Putting protective covers on new books
Special events and projects
Assisting with the Friends’ Book Nook area (this is the book sale area located downstairs in our Library)
Assisting with the Friends’ Welcome Packets
