Computers

Through our public access computers, you may access the World Wide Web through our high speed Internet connection.  Both Firefox & Internet Explorer are available on all public access computers for your web browsing preference. As Internet service is sometimes disrupted, we encourage all users to save frequently.

WiFi

Wireless Internet access is available throughout the library.  No login is required when using our WiFi.  As wireless service is sometimes disrupted, we encourage all users to save frequently.

Printing from our WiFi network is not available at this time.  If you would like to print from your laptop, we encourage you to save the document you wish to print to a USB drive. 

If you do not own a USB drive, try saving your document as a Google Document.  Not familiar with Google Docs?  Try the following procedure:

Save the document as a draft in your email

Use one of our public access computers to access your webmail

Print the item you need

Pre-loaded e-readers

Pre-loaded with popular titles, our circulating e-readers are a chance for you to try the e-book phenomenon!  In order to give everyone a chance to try an e-reader, the loan period on these devices is 21 days with no renewals.   The library owns the following devices:

2 Barnes & Noble Nook (one is loaded exclusively with teen materials)

1 Sony Reader

Available for presenters in the Ham Community Room

In the Ham Community Room, wireless access as well as a VCR/DVD player, digital projector, transparency projector, projection screen, wireless microphone, and podium are available for use.  However, as technology can be fickle, we strongly encourage presenters using laptops to test compatibility a few days before their event.  For more information about the use of the Ham Community Room, please visit the Meeting Rooms section of our website.
